Looking for tips to debug PHP with editra

Postby shopimport » Wed May 02, 2012 11:17 am

How could I best debug PHP code? I would prefer a step-by-step debug possibility with breakpoints.

As far as I can see there is no php debugger plugin, only python.

Maybe there are other solutions which could work in parallel with editra? Anyone setup a nice way to debug then please share your suggestions.

Hi,

There haven't been any php debugger plugins written. So would have to use a separate program.

You could probably configure the launch plugin to start a script in a php debugger that would open in a separate window.

Do you know any php debuggers? If any of them have a good command line interface or other IPC mechanism it would proabably be possible to write a plugin for Editra using it at some time. Many of the features from the PyStudio plugin will be reusable through interfaces in editra.
