CodeBrowser pane remains empty for C sources

Postby wandro » Sun Dec 05, 2010 2:52 pm

Using Editra 0.5.86 on Mac OS 10.6.5: For most of the C sources of the ESP Package Manager ("EPM", download release 4.1 from http://www.epmhome.org/software.php) the code browser pane remains completely empty. In a few cases the initial macro definitions of a source are listed but none of the subsequent function definitions.

For C++ sources the code browser seems to work, however.

Any help?

UPDATE: For the C++ source file "gui_common.cxx" of EPM (which seems to be a pure C source, however) only one single function definition is listed in the code browser pane, all others are omitted.

Hi,

The C/C++ support in the codebrowser is pretty simplistic currently. I think the problem it is having with the sources you mentioned is how the function definitions are split over multiple lines.

Code: Select all
int
make_aix(...

If it was on a single line
Code: Select all
int make_aix(...

It would probably find all or most of them. Patches to improve the c/c++ support are definitely welcomed.
