reindent

Postby flebber » Sun Dec 02, 2012 12:52 am

Is there a way to use reindent in editra to change the current files indenting.

I noticed by default the indenting of some python code if elif etc are incorrect by default so wanted to use reindent to fix it.

There isn't a good automated way to do it on a whole file. The best way to handle it currently is the feature that allows block indenting. You can select the lines you want to in/de-dent and change there indentation with either "Shift+Tab" dedent or Tab to indent them to the next tab stop.

An automated way to do this would be a great feature to add to the PyStudio plugin. Should fill out a feature request for it on the editraplugins.googlecode.com website.

I noticed by default indenting for if elif and else fails.

Have experimented with http://pypi.python.org/pypi/Reindent/0.1.0 on the command line and it works. Will add a feature request for it to be in pystudio when I get home.

Cheers
