broken bookmarks in Linux: additional /

Postby fberger » Fri Oct 15, 2010 3:54 pm

When adding bookmarks in Linux, an additional "/" is added at the beginning of the path.

For examle, clicking "Save selected paths" at

/home/user/project

is saved as

//home/user/project

This renders the bookmarks unusable.

Repairing the paths in ~/.Editra/cache/pathmarks fixes it.

Version affected: Editra 0.5.72

Hi,

I am guessing this is in regards to the FileBrowser plugin?

What version of Python/wxPython are you using?

(p.s) Editra 0.5.86 is the latest, I don't think this was fixed in it but it does have an updated version of the filebrowser plugin in it.

Thanks,

Cody

I'm sorry. Yes, it's the FileBrowser plugin.

Python 2.6.5
wxpython 2.8.10.1

I'll upgrade and check again.

Thanks,
fberger

P.S. The database behind this forum seems kind of unreliable currently... lots of "too much traffic" errors.

Upgraded to 0.5.86 - bug persists. 8)

Manual repair fixes it, as above.

Yes, its gotten very horrible lately. I have been trying to work with my hosting provider but they don't seem to be willing to do much or tell me much since the site is hosted on a shared plan.

Been looking around for alternatives to move to, I really need a VPS or private server so that I have more control over how it is configured but am a but they tend to get a bit spendy.
